NCIAVHR Engages with Ambassador Majawar in Geneva on Advancing Human Rights Work

The Chairman and members of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) met today with Dr. Ali Mohammed Majawar, Yemen’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, as part of the Commission’s activities on the sidelines of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council.

The meeting focused on reviewing the Commission’s programs and activities during its presence in Geneva, as well as the outcomes it seeks to achieve in strengthening its role and visibility at both the national and international levels.

Judge Ahmed Al-Maflahi, Chairman of the Commission, expressed appreciation for the cooperation and support provided by Yemen’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, stressing the importance of joint coordination in advancing efforts to uphold justice and the rule of law.

Ambassador Majawar, for his part, praised the vital role played by the Commission in documenting violations and protecting the rights of victims, reaffirming the Mission’s continued support for the Commission’s mandate and human rights endeavors.
