NCIAVHR Discusses Human Rights Developments in Yemen with the Arab Group at the Human Rights Council

The National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) convened a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic missions of Arab member states at the Human Rights Council in Geneva to discuss the latest developments in human rights in Yemen.

During the meeting, Judge Ahmed Al-Maflahi, the Chairman of the Commission, presented the key findings and recommendations included in the 12th periodic report, which were addressed to the international community and the parties to the conflict. He emphasized the importance of implementing these recommendations on the ground to strengthen the protection of rights and freedoms.

Judge Al-Maflahi also addressed the challenges facing civil society organizations in Yemen, particularly in light of the recent restrictions and violations, including the arrests of several workers in this field.

For their part, the ambassadors and representatives of the Arab diplomatic missions expressed their appreciation for the Commission’s efforts and their continued engagement with its reports, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the Commission in fulfilling its mandate with professionalism and effectiveness.
